The Cocktails
The cocktails will be a time of joy and anticipation.
Your guests will be talking about the ceremony, and greeting
other guests - some of whom they maybe haven't seen in years.

There will be laughter and relaxation
- the ceremony is over, you did it! You actually got
married! It's happened! Your guests are looking forward
to speaking to you personally, to congratulate you,
tell you how happy they are for you, and to be a part
of this amazing wedding day. |
We will perform, or supply through the DJ system if you
prefer, a wonderful selection of upbeat music that will
relax those jangled nerves and create the backdrop for the
fun to come. The music can continue along from the classical
vein of the ceremony, or the musicians can switch to jazz
guitar and sax (soprano, clarinet, tenor) to create an upbeat,
swingy, happy feel to accompany the mood.

| If the cocktails are being served in the
same room as the band stage set-up, the band can perform
cocktail music from the stage, and even include some
vocal variety - jazz, classical, celtic, pop, blues
- you name it. |

If you prefer to save your live performance hours for later,
the cocktail music can also be supplied through the DJ system.
Cocktail Style Wedding Receptions

Cocktail Style receptions have become
a popular choice for many weddings for a variety of
reasons. For some couples, it is a wonderful way to
have a different kind of party in which there is no
sit down dinner served, but rather, lots of food being
passed or food stations. This can give a casual feel
to the wedding, and yet still be elegant and provide
all the elements of a traditional ballroom style wedding
- without the table dinner service. |
For this style of wedding, there will still be the musical
needs of a sit down wedding party, in that the guests will
move from the solemnity of the ceremony, to joyful cocktails,
then conversation, and finally a dance party to let loose
and have fun. Often in these styles of weddings, the music
actually becomes the main focus of the event, so you want
the band to appeal to everyone. Sometimes the more casual
atmosphere allows for the guests to develop a relationship
with the musicians, which can create even more of a relaxed
and fun environment as the guests fill out request forms
and feel comfortable to approach the band and talk.
| Other cocktail style wedding receptions
might be daytime events where the bulk of the music
will be for background, and little or no dancing. However,
to avoid having your guests feeling a little restless,
you will still want a changing variety of music to create
different feels as the afternoon goes on. Whatever style
of cocktail reception you choose, The Royz Band
will supply exactly the right music to create the backdrop

direction if you, or your guests, start to crave something
else. You can choose from a variety of styles of cocktail
music. All will entice your guests to relax and enjoy, as
well as to anticipate the fun to come.
Jazzy Cocktails
